Comet Machholz
18:50 11/1/2005 UTC
After a long period of solid cloud cover, sky finally cleared and I had an opportunity to look at bright comet Machholz. It was very bright at the eyepiece and had very distinct blue-green hue. The color is visible also in this image, which is my very first comet picture! Also note the movement of the comet during capture as stars drew short lines while Registax aligned the images using comet nucleus. The images were captured during an 18 minute period.
