Deep Sky
Deepsky astrophotography is probably the most challenging form of astrophotography. I requires extremely long exposure times - the longer, the better. Most challenging part in the long exposures is tracking. Mount has to turn the telescope to compensate apparent movement of the stars due to earth rotation. Usually this means computer has to assist in this task. I got hooked in deep sky astrophotography when I first pointed my point and shoot camera throught the eyepiece to Ring Nebula M57 in fall 2004. Lots of things have changed since then and today I use DSLR and such fine instruments as narrowband filters, which requires even longer exposure times.
