Equipment - Skywatcher ED80 Pro
Skywatcher ED80 Pro is an excellent chinese made APO. It has an doublet objective with one element made of FPL-53 glass. It produces very good chromatic correction but the field curvature is fairly high. To compensate the curvature a field flattener is necessary. Mechanically this scope is fairly good, although I have replaced the focuser with TS Crayford with 1:10 reduction knob. This makes a critical focusing much easier.
